Welcoming our new Medical Director, Dr. Akash Chandawarkar

We are excited to share an important milestone at Elevate — the addition of Dr. Akash Chandawarkar, MD as Elevate’s new Medical Director. His leadership marks a meaningful step forward in our continued commitment to safety, innovation, and exceptional patient care.

Dr. Chandawarkar is a board-certified plastic surgeon with an extraordinary academic and clinical background. He earned his undergraduate degree from MIT and his medical degree cum laude from Harvard Medical School, followed by comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Johns Hopkins University/University of Maryland. He also completed advanced fellowship training at Stanford University and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, one of the most prestigious aesthetic surgery programs in the world.

In addition to his role at Elevate, Dr. Chandawarkar is the founder and owner of Mirror Plastic Surgery, where he specializes in both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. His experience as a practicing surgeon and practice owner allows him to bring a uniquely comprehensive perspective to medical oversight — bridging surgical precision with non-surgical aesthetic excellence and ensuring continuity of care across the aesthetic spectrum.

When asked to describe his approach to aesthetics, Dr. Chandawarkar sums it up simply: “natural, but not subtle.” His philosophy blends refined aesthetic results with a deep respect for anatomy, balance, and individuality — enhancing confidence without ever appearing overdone.

As Medical Director, Dr. Chandawarkar brings a uniquely hands-on and collaborative approach to medical oversight. He is deeply invested in provider education, injector mentorship, and staying at the forefront of injectable and aesthetic research. Rather than operating behind the scenes, he believes in working alongside the Elevate team on the front lines — fostering open collaboration, shared learning, and consistently high standards of care.

What truly fuels Dr. Chandawarkar’s passion for aesthetics is the impact it has on confidence and overall well-being. He views aesthetic medicine through a functional lens, prioritizing safety, health, and function first, followed by aesthetics.
